  1. Internal Ombudsman of the Bank may be approached through General Manager at HO or GRO at HO. My experience is good for IO

  2. Dear Mr. Hitesh Joshi
I always kept a minimum balance in the savings account and the balance locked with FD’s. However today I’m SHOCKED to know that FD’s opened at a branch (with paper application and signature) can now be prematurely closed online.
    1) If mobile phone with the banks APP falls into the wrong hands the FD’s can be broken and all the money can be siphoned off by a fraudster.
In this scenario today what can one do to secure their money?
    2) If we have a joint FD opened at the branch with 2 INDIVIDUAL signatures; Can this joint FD too be broken online?
    3) What’s the other option? Government Debenture bonds?
    4) I understand from IDBI that a tax-free time deposit of 5 years cannot be broken online. However in case of an emergency I understand that its difficult to break the same without a court order. (Am I right)
    Any other suggestion?
    Regards
