The system will be handled by a government enterprise. It will work with the department’s Telecom Enforcement Resource and Monitoring (TERM) cell. Based on the location of the mobile tower, the monitoring team assigned for the zone will visit the site and test the electromagnetic frequency (EMF) radiation levels. Within ten days from the registration of the complaint, a report will be prepared. In case the report indicates that radiation levels are within the prescribed limit, the complainant will have to pay a processing fee of Rs 4,000. In case a violation is identified, the errant firm will be fined Rs. 5 lakh and the complainant’s fee.

LOG ON to the Department of Telecommunication (DOT) website www.dot.gov.in Click on the link ‘Public Grievance- EMF Radiation’ to register your complaint about the suspected high radiation levels emitted by mobile towers in your neighbourhood. Once you get the complaint no., you will have to deposit a cheque or DD for Rs. 4,000 in favour of Telecommunication Consultants India Ltd. – Current Account No 000705005880 in their ICICI Bank Account. After having deposited the cheque, you need to call on the number given below and give them the details of the cheque no., Bank Name etc. on phone ( the payment update link on the website is not working as on 11/10/2012)

I have a simple solution to this. Almost all towers violate norms and are illegally erected. Put a simple one page RTI under the RTI Act, 2005 and ask the local municipal ward office whether a, b, c, d documents mentioned in the link below were submitted. You will pakka get a reply, otherwise go in for the first appeal. Once they respond to you saying some documents were not submitted, you can simply write an email to the deputy municipal commissioner – Encroachments asking for a complete demolition of the entire structure. I am a patient and the sound creates a lot of disturbance in our sleeping & rest. also no renter would like to live in our house due to this heavy noise.

I would like to inform on network tower is installed attached building to sri kanteshwara Kannada school, Where its govt school I hope understand the meaning, which is running and small children from 4 to 14 years (1st to 7th std )are studying in the school and I observed always some noise is running through out the day from the tower(every load beep sound) and which is causing disturbance to students of school I worried it could impact the school children health where still growing age and its resident also. Kindly consider the complaint and help to the children where there undergoing unknown issue by them.
I really upset over the installed tower near to school and how radiation would impact school students not sure about how radiation is going to impact elders definitely small amount of radiation is also going to impact the health of school children I hope for the best solution for the Govt school children,
