SEBI has a centralized web based complaints redress system (SCORES). This enables investors to lodge and follow up their complaints and track the status of redressal of such complaints from anywhere. This also enables the market intermediaries and listed companies to receive the complaints from investors against them, redress such complaints and report redressal. All the activities starting from lodging of a complaint till its disposal by SEBI are carried online in an automated environment and the status of every complaint can be viewed online at any time. An investor, who is not familiar with SCORES or does not have access to SCORES, can lodge complaints in physical form. However, such complaints would be scanned and uploaded in SCORES for processing.
SCORES is web-enabled and provides online access 24 x 7. It has the following salient features:

The NSE Investor Service Center allows investors to register e-complaints. The complaints will be taken up by the Investors Service Cell of the Exchange. The complaints are expected to be resolved in 60 days. If they are not resolved, they are referred to the Investor Grievance Resolution Panel of the Exchange.
Step 1 : Click on Register here, enter all the mandatory fields, click on save, then
Step 2 : Go to Login page, enter the user id, password, click on Login button.
Step 3 : Once logged in, you can enter your complaint and submit to the Exchange.

This is a common complaint of the flat owners that builders insist on keeping unutilised FSI for themselves even after a society has been formed and the land conveyed. Sometimes flat owners do not read the agreement drafted by the builder while buying their flats. These agreements usually have clauses that the builder is entitled to all further FSI and other development rights that may occure on the land.
“when a purchaser is buying a flat; he is not only purchasing the flat but also acquiring an undivided right title and interest in the property.” In one of the judgment, the Maharashtra State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has ruled that after the registration of a housing society any balance unutilised residual floor space index (FSI) shall be available to the society and not to the builder. In the said matter when the District Forum directed the builder to enjoy the unutilised and future FSI. The housing Society aggrieved by the judgment went in appeal before the State Commission it was held that as per the MOFA provisions, after registration of the society, the builder cannot claim residual FSI or further FSI in the plot or layout. Any provision in the builders agreement for sale contrary to the statutory provision will not be binding on any flat purchaser or the society.

If you’ve been scouring the market for a new car, you may have come across attractive offers – club the car purchase with insurance and car loan and get a fabulous deal. Car dealers usually have tie-ups with an insurance company as well as a financing firm and tend to push the products which fetch them a good margin. They typically bundle these three products and entice customers with the prospect of discounts on the package deal. But do these discounts really translate into savings for you? Not really. In fact, the opposite may be true.
If the dealer claims to give a good discount on the insurance premium, he would usually make up for it on some other component of the package – for instance lower discount on the price of the car. Similarly, the dealer may choose to factor in a discount from the car manufacturer which is meant to be offered to the customer into the loan cost. This makes the EMIs appear lower than the stand-alone rate offered by banks. But this also means you end up losing out on cash discount on the down-payment for the car. You don’t really save because the cost is built into the package to make sure the dealer recovers a stipulated amount.

Only 6 countries, including India, account for 95% of Genetically Modified Crops. Other countries have banned or severely restricted and penalized GM. Seed companies are lobbying hard to introduce GM crops in India. It is up to all citizens to understand the risks and halt the introduction of GM food in India.
Please circulate this to all your colleagues and write to the Health Minister at azadg@sansad.nic.in / hfm@alpha.nic.in to support the unanimous call given by India’s Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture to immediately halt all field trials of Genetically Modified Crops.
